The Hipster is Dead, Long Live the Yuccie
A good article about the new hipster, now that the term has become so mainstream it has died under its own weight.
For the record, becoming a yuccie sounds ideal. Here’s the short of Mashable’s article.
“…not only do we deserve to pursue our dreams; we should profit from them.”
Essentially, the yuccie is a creative oriented entrepreneur who is looking to pursue both monetary gain and their creative passion.
Along with this, the yuccie is focused less on image, and more on quality. They’re also the non-traditional career pursuers. The ones who jumped ship at the prestigious 9-5 to start their own niche business.
People may not like them, but I bet they sure want to be them at the same time.
